Brandon, MB. -- Canadian music legend Tom Cochrane took the stage at Molson Hockey House at the 2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup in Brandon, MB on Saturday and brought his legendary Canadian flair to the event.

Cochrane, a Manitoba native, called the Memorial Cup a 'Canadian Institution' while singing hits like "Life is a Highway", "Sinking Like a Sunset" and "Big League'. The multiple Juno Award winner and Canadian Music Hall of Famer donned a Brandon Wheat Kings jersey for his encore set and encouraged the Pro-Wheat
Kings fans to chant ' Go Wheaties Go' despite suggesting that he was unbiased about Sunday's championship game between the Brandon Wheat Kings and
Windsor Spitfires.

One week ago, Randy Barnman took the stage in the first of two shows that showcased a pair of Canadian music legends trom Manitoba.

Cochrane welcomed the Memorial Cup to the stage for his encore set that included hits "Lunatic Fringe' and "Boy Inside the Man' and told the near capacity
crowd that Don Cherry told him that he had seen many players turn into men while playing for the Memorial Cup.

The Lynn Lake, MB native also brought out hits like "White Hot", "Untouchable One' and "I Wish You Well" in his nearly two hour perormance on the eve of
the tournaments championship game.
